I am assuming that this represents the introspective eye of the artist. It is the eye which views, while the fingers of the hand, with tactile sensitivity, actually build the collage itself.Tomhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13993433014067689968noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19032705.post-1139518978133719682006-02-09T16:02:00.000-05:002006-02-09T16:02:00.000-05:00And the starkness of the tree lying underneath.VAnd the starkness of the tree lying underneath.

VVhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05099178229759202562noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19032705.post-1139450364985315232006-02-08T20:59:00.000-05:002006-02-08T20:59:00.000-05:00Alas it is in our suffering that our spirits truly...Alas it is in our suffering that our spirits truly see.

I am reminded of The Heart of Darkness and how each man has the potential for it. And the creative life - I love what Vicky says - maybe "becoming fertile in your introspection"? Or, what seeds does the pain plant, seeds that germinate when we cast the sun of our eyes on it? And if so, why??? --Bethbeths front porchhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09106016793491584685noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19032705.post-1139197001947925262006-02-05T22:36:00.000-05:002006-02-05T22:36:00.000-05:00Archaic Torso of Apolloby R. There is a lot to see in it (pun intended). Seeing Daphne turning into a tree reminded me of the Frida Kahlo painting, Roots, where she is depicted with all sorts of greenery growing from her body. Maybe the image you show is also one of you becoming fertile in your introspection?

Good luck with the short-shorts!

Love, VickyVickyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14190888051321451729noreply@blogger.com
