I'm a University Lecturer in English and the author of a novel, The Secret of Hurricanes (MacAdam/Cage 2002). My life is summed up by Rumi, who said: "My story gets told in various ways: a romance, a dirty joke, a war, a vacancy." Rumi's quote is the epigraph to Hurricanes. The purpose of this journal is to explore creativity and the writing life.

First Snow
It snowed today! We drove through pockets of sunlight and through snow squalls this afternoon on the way to the university. For much of the afternoon snow fell on our campus, big white flakes. It was windy and cold. I was happy.
Hi, Theresa:
ReplyDeleteThis entry makes me think of a short piece you wrote about snow in the south--I love that piece!
Glad you enjoyed the snowfall. We haven't had any in Cincinnati yet!
Erin :-)
We had amazingly weird weather here. HUGE snowflakes and then sun, and then rain, then hail lol
ReplyDeleteIt was incredibly odd.
Beautiful though. Hope you enjoyed yours!
~Lily
Oh, snow! Yes, a very good reason to feel happy.
ReplyDeleteAw, it`s so nice to sit here and relax.
ReplyDeleteSnow - hmm - glad you can enjoy it. As for me, I shall appreciate it from a distance!
