I'm a University Lecturer in English and the author of a novel, The Secret of Hurricanes (MacAdam/Cage 2002). My life is summed up by Rumi, who said: "My story gets told in various ways: a romance, a dirty joke, a war, a vacancy." Rumi's quote is the epigraph to Hurricanes. The purpose of this journal is to explore creativity and the writing life.

Thanks, Theresa. Glad you liked it and pleased to see it being shared on the blog. Hugs are much too rare, don't you think? Teagrapple
ReplyDeleteI like this very much. Human touch is so important...we all need physical contact with each other.
ReplyDeleteAltough it sounds silly, this actually made me tear up a little! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI would never pass up a hug, even from a total stranger. It's as Teagrapple said, they are much too rare.
ReplyDelete((hugs to you, everyone!))
