Mr. Toad

I had fun taking photos of this toad that Allen fished out of the pond for me. I have a cheap digital camera, so I was happy this one turned out so well.

MR. TOAD

Pimpled knot of skin.

Nostrils blinking like eyes.

I turn you over

& you play dead--

belly like cornmeal.

Webbed feet

in an attitude of prayer.
