I watched the movie Northfork again today.

Kubler Ross books on death and dying are excellent. I found "Life Lessons: Two Experts on Death and Dying Teach Us About the Mysteries of Life and Living" to be extremely helpful, not a quick read, but one to take your time with and meditate on slowly.
