IN THE EVENING

look,
I walk out

of my house
in the evening

in the rain
and the cats

criss-cross
in front of me

crying for food
and attention

not caring about
getting wet

I don't care
either

show me
a happier thing

look,
we are abundant

we are inspired
and so alive
