I'm a University Lecturer in English and the author of a novel, The Secret of Hurricanes (MacAdam/Cage 2002). My life is summed up by Rumi, who said: "My story gets told in various ways: a romance, a dirty joke, a war, a vacancy." Rumi's quote is the epigraph to Hurricanes. The purpose of this journal is to explore creativity and the writing life.
Hi, Theresa. I was reading Haibun Today and enjoyed your haibun. However, what prompted my search for your blog was where you live. I never expected to find Bradner on a poets page. I have not been there for years as we now live in the far northwest of Michigan's Upper Peninsula. I still have many relatives in Bradner. My father was born there and two of his sisters live there in the past. I still have many of my mother's family living there and have been wanting to get back for several years. Good to know there is a poet living there.
What a beautiful halibun, Theresa!
